ECG ESSENTIALS WEBINAR

This course was developed from the ECG Essentials Webinar presented by the Four Minute Medicine team. The video content has been adapted from live webinar sessions. The course is hosted by Dr Phinda Njisane, a University of Cape Town medical graduate who holds a Masters degree in Medical Education from Harvard University.

The purpose of this course is to introduce key concepts required for interpreting ECGs. By the end of the course, you will be able to apply a structured five‑step approach to describing ECGs. This course is intended as an introduction and a starting point rather than a comprehensive guide.

The course consists of 5 video modules:

  1. Cardiac Anatomy
  2. Cardiac Physiology
  3. The ECG Trace
  4. Cardiac Views
  5. ECG Interpretation

Each module concludes with a short multiple‑choice quiz (2–3 single or multiple best‑answer questions). A score of 80% is required to pass each quiz.

Only upon successful completion of all video modules and their respective quizzes, with a minimum score of 80% in each, will learners be eligible to claim 2 CPD points for the entire course.

To deepen your understanding of ECG interpretation, consider enrolling in our comprehensive ECG Mastery Course. This completely virtual, self‑paced programme accredited for 12 CPD points and includes 180 multiple‑choice questions designed to consolidate and expand your skills.
